‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap:

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap:

But was it really Wilden’s killer? Probably not. The cops on this show are terrible at everything.
Fresh off her arrest at the sorority house, Hanna (Ashley Benson) was forced to stay home from school on the July 16 episode of Pretty Little Liars – which wasn’t as sweet as deal as it sounds, considering her parents were at each other’s throats about Wilden all day. Ashley (Laura Leighton) swore she didn’t shoot him, but Papa Marin wasn’t so convinced. And as it turned out, neither were the police!

Detective Tanner, who I can’t not think of as Liz from Nip/Tuck, came by the house at the end of the episode to take Ashley away in handcuffs. Hanna cried, her dad freaked out and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) — well, Caleb didn’t do anything because Hanna’s parents wouldn’t let him anywhere near the house.

Seriously, don’t they know Caleb’s hair has magical healing properties? He can fix any crisis with a single flick of his luscious locks!

Aria’s ‘Slut’ Drama
Meanwhile, one of Mike “Roid Rage” Montgomery’s lacrosse buddies asked Aria (Lucy Hale) for help with his English paper — which makes sense, as it’s a scientific fact that 8 out of 10 lacrosse players are illiterate — but like always, this kiddo has more on his agenda than he let on. He told all his locker-room buddies that he and Aria hooked up, instantly turning her into Rosewood High School’s resident slut.

Worse still, Mike’s friend totally called her out for sleeping with Ezra (Ian Harding)! Is that public knowledge? Does everyone on this show also watch the show? That’s too meta for me.

Anyway, Ezra gave Aria a big ironic speech about not letting rumors get to her — I say ironic, considering it was all true – and she felt a little better, but it was Mike’s pep talk that really assured her everything is going to be OK. Too bad, as we all know, it’s not.

Ravensweird
Just outside of town, Toby (Keegan Allen) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) took a road trip to track down Carla Grunwald, that creepy house mother from last week’s sorority. Their journey took them to Ravenswood, where, as my fellow PLL-er Jarett Wieselman so astutely pointed out, “everything is seen through an Instragram filter.”

Lady G turned out to be no help, but Spencer did stumble on a familiar face in town that sent shivers up and down her J-Crew sweater: Shana! What the heck was Shana doing in Ravenswood? And why was she getting into Jenna’s car? I could spend all night trying to process the logic behind it all, but then I remembered Jenna used to be blind. So who really needs logic, anyway?

Other Weirdness
1. Emily (Shay Mitchell) was also called in to see Detective Tanner, after a mysterious DVD showed up her desk, featuring a girl who looks like Emily holding up a “guilty” sign. Emily was also accused of dropping the DVD off herself, which makes total sense. I mean, don’t people usually frame themselves like that?

2. The guy who made up rumors about Aria got his car beat in at the end of the episode — but by who? I know we’re supposed to think Mike did it, but could it have been Ezra? The guy was at the coffee shop when it happened! Think about it…

‘Teen Wolf’ Recap:

‘Teen Wolf’ Recap:

Bye Bye, Boyd!
As much as we all thought Dr. Deaton was going to bite the proverbial bullet — come on, the dude was left hanging in the bank basement for-ever — it was Boyd (Sinqua Walls) who ended up as this week’s highly anticipated victim. And as bummed as I was to bid him adieu, at least his death gave us one last look at Erica (Gage Golightly), via an intense flashback to sometime before the season premiere.

Plus, Boyd sacrificed himself to save Derek (Tyler Hoechlin), who finally faced off one-one-on against Kali (Felisha Terrell) — and damn, that kitty can scratch. He agreed to the solo fight in order to keep the Alpha twins from ripping apart Ms. Blake (Haley Webb), which makes me think their relationship really is more than just physical. There’s real love there. Wolf love!

If I’m being real, I’m actually pretty happy Boyd died. I mean, if we had to lose a member of the pack, I’m glad it was the one I cared the least about. Because the day Isaac (Daniel Sharman) dies is the day I lose faith in love and life and British accents. So let’s hope that day never comes, OK?

Scott & Allison: Boner Time!
Those hoping for a major Scott/Allison reunion got their wish — and so much more — this week when the former couple ended up hiding in a closet together. To say ‘sparks flew’ would be an understatement, as Scott popped a woody within seconds, and Allison (Crystal Reed) didn’t exactly hate it. In fact, she giggled and was about to kiss him!

Sadly, the kiss was not to be. We’ll have to wait a little while longer for a full-blown — pardon the pun — hookup between them, but hey, we’ve waited this long. What’s another episode or two?

Odds & Ends
1. Why did Allison visit creepy Grandpa Gerard at the end of the episode? Why would anyone? He’s all bloody-nosed and gross!

2. How amazing was that scene with Stiles (Dylan O’Brien), convincing Danny (Keahu Kahuanui) he was having a dream? They always have the best scenes together.

3. What was Mr. Harris’ real connection to all these sacrifices?

‘True Blood’ Recap: Sookie’s Past Comes Back To Kill Her

‘True Blood’ Recap: Sookie’s Past Comes Back To Kill Her

murderers? Probably, yeah.
Let’s start this week’s recap with a few rhetorical questions: Why does Sookie (Anna Paquin) keep digging into her past? Hasn’t she learned by now that the more questions she asks, the more people come out of the woodworks to kill her? Oh, who am I kidding? This is Sookie we’re talking about; she’s a big fairy dumb-dumb who gets off putting herself, and others, in harm’s way — which explains why the July 14 episode of True Blood ended with her being drowned in a damn lake.

Rewinding a bit… Warlow (Rob Kazinsky) told Sookie that when he killed her parents, it was only to stop them from killing her. It turns out he came to Mr. and Mrs. Stackhouse with his intentions to turn Sookie into a vampire, but they didn’t like what he was selling; and because they worshipped at the First Church of Crazy, they saw only one solution: drive their daughter to the nearest and lake and drown her. You know, to save her “soul.”

A sane human — or fairy-human, whatever — would have left it at that. But not Sookie. She had Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) channel her parents’ spirits for validation, a plan that ended the way all of Sookie’s plans end: very badly. Long story short, La-La threw Sookie into the trunk of his car, drove her down to that same lake and played ‘Drown My Daughter.’ Round two.

A New War-Low
This week’s episode also gave us a peek into Warlow’s past, and my body simply was not ready. For starters, Bill (Stephen Moyer) can command Warlow because Lilith made him, and she’s now inside Bill — everybody always has someone inside them on this show, don’t they? — and Bill is helping Warlow to realize his destiny. What destiny, you ask?

Cue the weirdest, most ridiculous flashback True Blood has ever served up: We got to see the first time Cave-Lilith met Cave-Warlow, and the wacky cave-sex that followed. Basically, Lilith gave Warlow a good sniff, told him he was “destined to save vampire kind,” then hopped on his fairy stick for a wild ride. (Side note: Lilith has a surprisingly jiggly butt.)

We also saw that Warlow spared one member of his fairy tribe — baby Niall, naturally — before running off to Lilith’s cave and burning her in the sun.

(Dear, True Blood: No more cave-time flashbacks, please. I know it’s better to show than tell, but not at the risk of looking so damn silly.)

Vamp Camp
In a poorly-planned attempt to save Pam (Kristin Bauer Van Straten) from the LAVDF, Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Tara (Rutina Wesley) turned themselves over to the authorities, essentially agreeing to serve them as lab rats. On the upside to this potentially fatal move, we finally got our first look at the “camp” where all of the vampires are being taken, and it’s pretty freakin’ terrible. You know, aside from all the crazy vampire sex. That, my friends, has much scientific importance!

Through a series of tests, Eric proved himself to be the kick-all-asses-take-no-names vampire we’ve always know him to be — until his final task, which found him pitted against none other than Pamela Swynford De Beaufort. Who will make the first move? Will either of them? Time will tell!

In the meantime, I’m just enjoying the vampires’ ranking system. Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian) is such a four.

Jason & Sarah’s Holy Humping
I’d like to take a minute to thank True Blood for bringing back one of the show’s best staples: Jason Stackhouse naked! Seriously, the past two weeks have been full of naked Jason, and the fans have been very thankful.

Odds & Ends — Mostly Odds.
1. I’m not writing about the werewolves anymore. At all. I believe that if we ignore them, they’ll just go away.
2. Same goes for Sam and that girl with the big hair.
3. Which fairy did Andy save? Do any of them have names yet, or are they all still numbers?
4. When Jessica tried to hook up with Bill, I almost threw up in my mouth.
5. What’s worse: That Terry wants his friend to kill him, or that I hope he’s successful?

‘Dexter’ Recap: Debra Morgan Comes Clean

‘Dexter’ Recap: Debra Morgan Comes Clean

Debra Morgan Continues To Fall Apart
We’ll have to wait to find out, right now all we know is that Debra needs help. Like bad. She’s moved on from cocaine and killing dudes to getting slammered in her car and driving into parking meters. Joey Quinn gets her out of a DUI — and gets himself into trouble with Bautista and his girlfriend, Jamie — but she has much bigger issues than the legal ones.

Will The Brain Surgeon Catch Dexter Before Dexter Can Catch Him?
The Brain Scooper continues to be a mystery. Last week this guy forced another person to kill someone, and now he’s setting it up to make it look like the victim was the killer, throwing the cops off the scent.

He also continues to send Dr. Vogel pieces of brains, but he has now started to give Dexter presents too. These two serial killers are on a collision course — the only questions are when they come face-to-face, and who comes out on top.

Debra Confesses Her Sins
But the Brain Scooper is nothing compared to Hurricane Debra this week. Her guilt runneth over — and it turns out she’s not as good at keeping secrets in as Dexter. After a moving speech by Dexter convincing Deb that she’s actually a good person, Deb gets wasted in her car again and then heads to Miami Metro. In a blacked out haze, she confesses to killing LaGuerta (!) to Quinn.

And the question that’s been forced down our throats is finally answered. Dex hears about Debra coming clean and when it’s obvious that she’s not going to back down, he sticks her with one of his needles!

Jenny McCarthy Confirmed As New Co-Host Of ‘The View’

Jenny McCarthy Confirmed As New Co-Host Of ‘The View’

Barbara & Jenny Both ‘Thrilled’ About The Move
In a personal statement, Barbara gushed over the show’s latest addition:

We are delighted that Jenny will be joining us as a permanent co-host on ‘The View’ starting in September. Jenny brings us intelligence as well as warmth and humor. She can be serious and outrageous. She has connected with our audience and offers a fresh point of view. Jenny will be a great addition to the show as we usher in an exciting new chapter for ‘The View.’

Needless to say, Jenny is also stoked about joining The View family. In her official statement, Jenny thanked her supporters — while taking a fun little dig at her mom:

I’m beyond thrilled to be joining Barbara and the other amazing women at the table. I’d like to thank ABC for this great opportunity. I’d also like to give a big thank you to VH1 for their support and for allowing me to fulfill this lifelong dream. I look forward to helping make hot topics a little bit hotter, and showing my mom that my interrupting skills have finally paid off.

‘The Lying Game’ Canceled By ABC Family

‘The Lying Game’ Canceled By ABC Family

After two seasons of lies, betrayal and twin shenanigans, The Lying Game has been cancelled. The teen drama will not return for a third season, according to its leading lady.

The series’ star Alexandra Chando, who played Sutton and Emma, announced on Instagram about the show’s untimely demise:

To our awesome #lyinggame fans, thank you for these two amazing seasons. Unfortunately, Abc Family has decided not to bring us back for a third season. We so wanted to do 10 more for you guys! Thanks for your support and keep up with the cast to see what’s next for us! Xx

The ending of The Lying Game isn’t a huge surprise after endless rumors about the show’s unlikely renewal. When co-star Tyler Christopher – who plays the recently widowed Dan — signed a new contract with General Hospital, the writing was practically on the wall.

‘Glee’ Scoop: Adam Lambert Joins The Cast For Season 5

‘Glee’ Scoop: Adam Lambert Joins The Cast For Season 5

Adam Lambert is “so excited” to be joining the cast of Glee, the American Idol runner-up said after series creator Ryan Murphy announced the news on Twitter.

Adam Lambert Joins ‘Glee’ — Ryan Murphy Says He’s Joining The Cast In The Fall
“I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall,” Ryan tweeted on July 10.

This news comes almost four years after it was originally reported that Adam, 31, would star on Glee,  TVLine reports.

Unfortunately, there are no details on what Adam’s role will be on the show, and whether he will be a guest or regular cast member. However, there’s certainly room for him to take a full-time residency in Lima.

Fox recently confirmed four cast members will not be returning as series regulars in the fall.

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap:

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap:

Plus, someone ended the episode in the back of a police car! College! Woo!
The girls got a taste of college life on the July 9 episode of Pretty Little Liars, and it did not taste good. More specifically, it tasted like bird meat and handcuffs, as Spencer (Troian Bellisario) finally traced the phone number that Tippi had been squawking about — and Hanna (Ashley Benson) got arrested! Yeah, it was one of those college parties.

Spencer, Hanna and Emily (Shay Mitchell) initially journeyed to Cicero College to track down the identity of “board shorts,” but things escalated pretty quickly — as they often do. Within minutes of arriving on campus, Spencer and Emily were at each other’s throats, and I ancitipate more tension next week as the girls didn’t exactly resolve their issues.

As for Hanna, I’m not sure why the episode ended with the police holding her at gunpoint, then whisking her off in a squad car. It might have had something to do with her finding a gun in her mom’s closet! After all, “A” did jokingly text that Hanna and Ashley (Laura Leighton) could share a lawyer — so maybe “A” wasn’t joking, after all.

Family Feud
Meanwhile, back in Rosewood, all four members of the Montgomery family — including Mike (Cody Christian), who has apparently spent his entire time off-screen doing the same workout Chris Hemsworth did for Thor – were putting aside their differences over a quiet night of board games.

It was a nice change of pace from earlier in the episode, when Ella (Holly Marie Combs) was being attached by “A” swarm of bees and Mike was bitching out Aria (Lucy Hale) for wanting their mom to move away with her boyfriend.

Come to think of it, why did Mike even suggest that Aria simply wanted alone time with Ezra (Ian Harding)? Has he not been watching the show this season? It’s all about Aria and Jake (Ryan Guzman) now. Hello?!

‘Twisted’ Recap:

‘Twisted’ Recap:

 Lacey & Regina Meet Again
Regina (Karynn Moore) made a surprise cameo this week! The episode opened with a dream sequence of Lacey’s, involving a peanut butter-indulging ghost of Regina, who had a lot to say in the small amount of time she and Lacey talked — including the fact that DANNY KILLED HER!

Regina called Danny’s hands “murderous” and told Lacey that he was the one who killed her, but who knows if that was just part of Lacey’s dream. Considering how irrelevant her comment seemed the rest of episode, it might have just been her subconscious  One thing that seems more certain, though, is that Lacey thinks Danny took Regina’s necklace, which makes it sound like she thinks Danny really is Regina’s killer.

Karen Thinks Danny Is A Sociopath
It looks like Momma Karen (Denise Richards) might not trust her beloved son as much as she once did. After finding the necklace in the cup holder of Danny’s dad’s chair last week, she’s finding Danny more likely as a suspect in Regina’s death. Not only that, she’s speculating that he really is a sociopath!

She went to a doctor to get some clarity this week, asking how she should be dealing with people calling her son a sociopath. But then, she went on to ask what makes someone a sociopath, to which the doctor gave her a response that seems to fit Danny just right. Time will tell whether she thinks her son is legitimately crazy.

Did Lacey Find Another Clue?
After Lacey’s dream conversation with Regina, it was killing her — no pun intended — to know where Regina got the necklace that once belonged to Danny’s deceased aunt. In going through a box of some of Regina’s old stuff with Regina’s mom, she worked up the courage to ask about the necklace, but her mom pretty much only new about as much as Lacey did.

The necklace might not have led to anymore clues, but the box of Regina’s stuff sure did! Lacey discovered an envelope addressed to Regina, dated just a couple of days before Regina was killed. Being the newly curious mystery solver she is, she decided to open the letter, finding money — lots of it! — and a note that said it was the “last installment.” Can you say suspicious?

One Big Love Triangle
In the midst of Fall Fest — the town’s biggest day of the year, according to the mayor — Jo (Maddie Hasson) told Danny she thinks it would be good for him to attend the festival and not act like he’s hiding from the hateful townspeople. But let’s be honest, she just wanted him to go as her date. She’s totally in love with Danny!

On the outside looking in was Jo’s best friend Rico (Ashton Moio), who’s totally in love with Jo. He had to sit back at Fall Fest and watch as Danny and Jo worked together to sell pi pies for the mathlete team and later share a slow dance — with interlocking fingers! — hopelessly gazing, clearly wishing he was in Danny’s place.

To make the triangle into more of a square, let’s throw in Lacey, who texted Danny immediately after he and Jo slow danced to meet her about something. That ‘something’ turned out to be the letter she discovered earlier in the episode, and Danny instantly saw it as a clue — one which needed to be brought to the police ASAP. Lacey disagreed, suggesting they investigate the letter themselves before getting the cops involved, which sparked a slight argument — one that turned into an intense make-out session!

That’s right, folks. Lacey and Danny revealed their true thoughts about each other and shared some pretty passionate lip-locking that might have been a long time coming in the years they’ve known each other.

The Necklace Is Gone!
While Danny was off making out with Lacey, Jo ran into Rico as Fall Fest wrapped up, and he angrily asked her why she trusts Danny so much. She told him she isn’t going to give up on someone she’s practically known since birth. He was clearly frustrated and decided to walk home. (Oh, that poor little lovestruck boy.)

On the walk home, Rico witnessed something that suddenly put him in the middle of the Regina murder case: He sees Karen go out to a pier in complete darkness, which sounds harmless, right? WRONG! Karen was on the pier for one purpose: to get rid of the mysterious red and gold necklace once and for all!

She may think now that the necklace is gone, suspicion of Danny killing Regina will also fade. But who knows, now that Rico witnessed her disposing of the necklace, she could suddenly be made into the new suspect!

With so many things to be resolved, we can’t wait for next week!

‘True Blood’ Recap: Sookie Discovers Ben’s Dark Secret

‘True Blood’ Recap: Sookie Discovers Ben’s Dark Secret

Plus, a new vampire is born! Mazel tov!
From the moment Ben (Rob Kazinsky) smoldered his way into Bon Temps earlier this season, Truebies have speculated a potential connection between Sookie’s fairy suitor and her ancient aggressor Warlow. The July 7 episode of True Blood finally proved those clever fans right — and the connection turned out to be a lot more direct than you might have imagined.

As it turns out, Ben is Warlow!

For once in her dopey fairy life, Sookie (Anna Paquin) was the one who put the pieces together after Jason (Ryan Kwanten) mysteriously recovered while under Ben’s care. And when Jason and Niall’s assassination attempt failed — bye, grandpa! — Sookie did what she does best: She took Ben to bed, trapping him between her sheets and her fairy ball.

Side note: I hope Warlow’s blood stays in Jason’s system for a while, because that little ‘shaving’ dream he had was the best thing we’ve seen since Sam’s (Sam Trammell) dream about showering with Bill (Stephen Moyer). This show knows its audience, that’s for sure.

Fairy Girls’ Night Out
Speaking of Bill, Bon Temps’ resident vamp-god co-hosted a little mixer with Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll), and Andy’s daughters were the guests of honor. They still don’t have names, but thanks to their latest growth spurt, they now have boobs — and an insatiable appetite for partying, apparently.

Of course, Bill’s idea of a ‘party’ involves draining blood, so the girls quickly assessed the lame-ness of the party. That’s when Jessica, in a poor attempt to keep the girls from escaping, ended up draining all of their blood and leaving them for dead on the living room floor.

Nice one, Jess.

Daddy’s Little Vampire
Meanwhile, Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) made his first vampire since Pam (Kristin Bauer Van Straten), and the lucky progeny was none other than the governor’s daughter, Willa!

It’s all part of Eric’s plan to get the governor to change his mind about vampires, but it all backfired when Willa returned home to her father — and he sent her to the camp! (Also, the governor is sleeping with Sarah Newlin? Gross.)

Odds & Ends
With each passing week, I feel like Pam and Tara (Rutina Wesley) become more and more believable as lesbians.

This season’s snoozy story line belongs to the werewolves. Like, what’s even going on with them? And does anyone care? Alcide (Joe Manganiello) stopped being interesting when he gave up on Sookie.

‘Switched At Birth’: Katie Leclerc Reveals Major Changes For Daphne

‘Switched At Birth’: Katie Leclerc Reveals Major Changes For Daphne

Read On For Our Full Q&A With Katie Leclerc

Little Daphne was so perfectly cast! Did you get to meet her?
I did! Little Daphne was so cute, I got pictures with her. She was so excited to be on a set that they had to be like, ‘Stop smiling!’ So they’re telling this poor three year old not to smile. … She was so good, and the moment where little Daphne meets little Bae is like, ‘Oh my gosh.’

What was the weirdest part about playing this new version of Daphne?

I didn’t speak in an accent! That was strange for me. Vanessa looked over at me and was like, ‘Something’s not right here.’

Is there anything about the ‘what if’ episode that you wish you could keep?

Strangely enough, we changed my hair part. It seems so insignificant, but we switched it to the other side, and I think I like it better. Fantasy Daphne also had very pumped-up clothing and accessories. My feet didn’t like the episode, but it was cool to live in a Gossip Girl world, as far as the wardrobe went.

What about Vanessa’s wig? I can’t imagine she’d want to keep that.

Honestly, she didn’t hate the wig. Her hair and makeup time is normally 45 minutes, but with the wig, it was like 10.

What did playing this other version of Daphne teach you about your character?

I had such a good time playing a mean-spirited person. I find myself, real-life Katie, more able to relate to regular Daphne than fantasy Daphne. I love smiling. But fantasy Daphne was such a blast; it was so fun to explore how far we could push her. Now, when I have confrontational scenes with Bay or whoever, I channel fantasy Daphne. She is a version of the same character, so there are through-lines between both of them.

Can you tell us what Daphne will be up to in the coming weeks?

Well, Jace has already tried to expose Daphne to a few new things, and the two of them go on a little journey together. It’s probably a bad path for them to be on together. … Aside from that, you know, she took the internship at John’s office, even though she has opposite politics from him. She thinks that, even though she’s working for a Republican, she can learn from him; and maybe he can learn from her. … She needs to step up her game in order to make a change happen, and in doing so, she gets in a little over her head.

Hottest Summer TV Couples: ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ ‘Teen Wolf’ & More

Hottest Summer TV Couples: ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ ‘Teen Wolf’ & More

‘Pretty Little’ Lovers
When it comes to Rosewood, we come for the lies, but we stay for the red-hot couples! Now that Toby (Keegan Allen) is back on the good guys’ side — we think, anyway — he and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) have been more inseparable than ever, and we’ve loved every minute of their time together.

Speaking of stable couples, Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) are still going strong, as are Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Paige (Lindsey Shaw). We’re glad some couples are able to keep it together when times get tough!

We’ve even loved watching Aria (Lucy Hale) get closer to Jake (Ryan Guzman). He’s no Ezra, but hey, it’s about time Aria dates a guy closer to her own age.

True Love On ‘True Blood’
The battle over Sookie (Anna Paquin) is fiercer than ever on the sixth season of True Blood. Not only are vampires Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) still in the running for the foxy fairy’s affections, but now a third suitor has entered the fray.

Does Ben (Rob Kazinsky) have what it takes to beat out the show’s fan-favorite vampires? Time will tell! But in the meantime, I can tell you that Sookie and Ben’s relationship takes a very interesting turn on the July 7 episode. It’s not to be missed.

‘Awkward’ Affections
MTV’s hit comedy Awkward may be on hiatus at the moment, but since the first half of the season spilled into summer, we’re including it in our roundup. We didn’t think we’d love Jake (Bret Davern) and Tamara (Jillian Rose Reed) as a couple, but the second we saw them on screen together, we fell in love all over again.

As for Jenna (Ashley Rickards) and Matty (Beau Mirchoff), this season wasn’t their best — Jenna totally cheated on him with new-guy Collin — but we’re still keeping our fingers crossed for them. And our toes. And our hearts.

‘Teen Wolf’ Twosome
There’s really only one couple on Teen Wolf this season — if you can consider them a couple at all! Scott (Tyler Posey) and Allison (Crystal Reed) officially broke up on the second season finale last summer, but they’ve been all over each other this season, and we can’t take our eyes off of them!

‘Keeping Up’ With The Kouples
No matter what we think we know about the Kardashians, the truth always comes out on their E! reality series — but which famous pair is your personal favorite?

Are you a fan of Kim Kardashian and Kanye Wests‘s whirlwind romance? Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom‘s picture-perfect marriage? Or Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick‘s playful — though, at times, dysfunctional — courtship?

‘Degrassi’ Duos
You never know which characters are going to hook up next on Degrassi – and that’s what makes it so much fun to watch!

Eli (Munro Chambers) and Clare (Aislinn Paul) will always be our favorite couple, but Drew (Luke Bilyk) and Bianca (Alicia Josipovic) are definitely a close second.

We’re also lighting a candle for Fiona (Annie Clark) and Imogen (Cristine Prosperi). They may have broken up after Fiona graduated, but we all know Degrassi couples have a way of getting back together if they’re meant to be.

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap:

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap:

Can we all just agree that Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) is “A,” and call it a day already? The July 2 episode of Pretty Little Liars painted the elder Hastings sister to be guiltier than ever, as Spencer (Troian Bellisario) followed her to Hector’s creepy cabin in the woods and caught her red-handed. Well, she technically caught her mask-handed, but she was still being shady as hell.

After some light prodding, Melissa confessed that she and several others had been unknowingly helping Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson) in his attempts to assassinate the liars, but also that someone else was controlling Wilden. She raised the very valid point that, let’s be real, Wilden was never smart enough to orchestrate his own master plan.

So is Melissa the reason Wilden’s now floating in Hot Detective Heaven? Spencer sure thinks so, but Hanna (Ashley Benson) will still need some convincing. She’s pretty positive that Ashley (Laura Leighton) is the one who pulled the ‘metaphorical’ trigger — though it could also have been a very literal trigger.

Personally, I don’t think it was either one of them. Even though the most obvious suspect is often the right one — see Mona as “A” — I think there’s more to the story this time around.

Aria & Jake’s Awkward Encounter
Aria (Lucy Hale) finally got some alone time with Jake (Ryan Guzman) this week — I love them together, and I don’t care who knows it — but sadly, an unexpected third wheel crashed their date: Ezra’s son Malcolm! Naturally, Jake had a few questions about the encounter, all of which Aria was foolish enough to answer honestly. Seriously, you’d think after all these years, Aria would have learned the truth gets her nowhere!

Anyway, she came clean about the whole ‘You’re Not The First Teacher I’ve Dated’ thing, and Jake dropped a surprising statement on her: He’s sure she still has feelings for Ezra! ”You’ve gotta figure out if you’re hurt or you’re injured,” he told her — you know, just in case anyone had forgotten how damn dreamy he is.

Toby’s Big Adventure: Mom, Mystery & Macaroons
Toby’s (Keegan Allen) search for the truth about his mother’s death led him to Saratoga Springs, where he encountered arguably the creepiest old man this show has served up to date. When the crazy old doctor wasn’t offering Toby macaroons — the creepiest of snacks, if you didn’t already know — he was rambling about “that blonde girl,” who apparently caused quite a bit of trouble for Mrs. Toby while she was staying at Radley.

Could the old man have been talking about Alison (Sasha Pieterse)? I knew that trick was still alive!

No One Puts Emily In A Corner
And then there was Emily (Shay Mitchell), who seemed to do everything in her power to ruin her parents’ lives this week. After seeing the doctor behind their back, she got super pissed at Mr. and Mrs. Emily and ran away from home — which, in case you didn’t know, is a great way to prove to the authorities that you have a stable home life.

The doctor had told Emily she might need more surgery, but Paige (Lindsey Shaw) told her she probably wouldn’t. And that’s fine because Paige is totally a doctor.

‘Teen Wolf’ Scoop: Stiles & Lydia’s ‘Big’ Future, Plus 5 More Spoilers

‘Teen Wolf’ Scoop: Stiles & Lydia’s ‘Big’ Future, Plus 5 More Spoilers

Six ‘Teen Wolf’ Spoilers From EP Jeff Davis

1. Something big is coming for Stiles and Lydia! Fans have been waiting more than two seasons for Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) and Lydia (Holland Roden) to get together — and it sounds like they might finally be getting their wish. Jeff says there’s something ”big” planned for the fan-favorite pairing on the season’s eleventh episode. Set your DVRs to stun!

2. Scott and Isaac become closer! Apparently, living with the McCalls is going to have a profound effect on Isaac. Jeff says Isaac (Daniel Sharman) and Scott (Tyler Posey) will “become closer” and that “Isaac will be risking his life for Scott” in the coming weeks.

3. The killer could be someone we know! When a fan speculated that Gerard — Allison’s (Crystal Reed) bats**t-crazy grandfather from last season — could be behind the current season’s murders, Jeff simply replied, “Interesting theory.” While I’m not about to jump on the Gerard wagon, I feel like Jeff’s answer left the possibilities pretty open.

4. Erica’s story is not over! Jeff says we’ll find out why Erica (Gage Golightly) was killed. This makes me think we’ll get a flashback scene, which could explain why MTV tweeted a picture of Gage on set a few weeks ago.

5. The gays are coming! When a fan asked why the show favors “queer-baiting” over “queer pairing,” which was an excellent question, Jeff promised that a same-sex couple is in the works. “Queer pairings is on my list,” he responded. “I swear we’ll get to it!”

6. What’s up with the tree? Applauding a fan for paying close attention, Jeff acknowledged there’s a connection between the tree we see in the opening credits and the one Lydia drew in the band room.

‘White House Down’ Reviews:

‘White House Down’ Reviews
New York Times

White House Down, the latest conflagration from that master blaster Roland Emmerich, is as demented and entertaining as promised, and a little less idiotic than feared.

Los Angeles Times

White House Down is a hoot and a half, a shameless popcorn entertainment that is preposterous and diverting in just about equal measure. This story of “the worst day this country ever had” — a roughly 12-hour period when an armed paramilitary group blows up the Capitol and takes over the White House — is very much something you get a kick out of against your better judgment.

New York Post

You couldn’t ask for a more fun summer popcorn movie than White House Down. The buddy action-comedy teams the ever-ingratiating Channing Tatum, as a hunky, off-duty DC cop, with Jamie Foxx, slyly amusing as President Sawyer, a very thinly disguised version of our current chief executive. The latest epic from master of disaster Roland Emmerich is his most entertaining since “Independence Day” — amusingly referenced by a White House tour guide in the new film, which is a lot funnier than you’d guess from some of the trailers.

Washington Post

White House Down never quite seems to decide what kind of movie it wants to be, although by firepower alone it qualifies as this summer’s most cartoonishly bombastic exercise in sensory overload (so far). A riotous display of serial explosions, helicopter crashes, car smash-ups, sniper attacks and at least one slap on the face of a winsome little girl, White House Down is the kind of celebration of rampant mayhem in which everyone seems to have a rocket launcher — or at least a live hand grenade — at the ready, just in case they need to dispatch a scrum of exceptionally vile and cruel villains.

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap:

We still don’t know for sure who killed Detective Wilden , but after the June 25 episode of Pretty Little Liars, we can narrow our potential suspect list considerably. … Just kidding! Hanna  got a peek at the cops’ board of suspects, and it turns out nearly everyone in Rosewood — including the liars — is on it. We did, however, get a pretty big clue that singles out one of the liars’ moms, and it should come as no surprise which mom that is.
That’s right, it’s Ashley ! The saucy minx — and totally natural redhead — has been on my watch list since day one, and soon, she could also be on the police’s. It turns out she was in Rosewood the night Wilden was killed, and Hanna’s dad realized his gun was missing after Ashley stopped by asking for money.
Sure, Ashley’s the most obvious suspect, which should rule her out. But wasn’t Mona also the most obvious person to be ‘A’? Think about it, kids.
Side note: All of this information was uncovered by Caleb , who returned to Rosewood this week with a renewed sense of heroism — and the most glamorous highlights I’ve ever seen on a man in my life.

The Mask(s)

Because every episode requires the girls to venture into the darkness late at night, this week’s installment took them to a creepy mask shop in the middle of the woods. It was the same shop Alison  visited to get her own creepy mask, so the liars went looking for answers — and as always, found more than they bargained for.
Not only did Ali apparently want all of her friends to look just like her, but Hanna also found a mask that looked like — wait for it — Melissa! Just when you thought we were rid of that she-devil, she returns to Rosewood in a big way. I don’t like this one bit.

‘Spoby’ Investigates

While the girls were out being creepy in the woods, Spencer  helped Toby  figure out whether there was anything suspicious about his mother’s alleged suicide. And because this is PLL we’re talking about, OF COURSE there was something suspicious about it! Because ‘Spoby’ apparently has a collective degree in criminal justice, the couple was able to deduce that there must have been foul play involved — and you can’t spell “foul play” without “A!”
Was Mrs. Toby… murdered?! Dun, dun, dun!

Field Family Values

But the girl in the most trouble now is Emily , who runs the risk of being taken from her home. Someone reported her parents to Family Services after noticing a pattern of suspicious behavior — Emily’s bruise, her dad always being away, and most recently, her mom fighting with her in front of the school — and it’s entirely possible the Fields family is facing its final days.
I’ve always found Emily’s dad to be super creepy, but I’d never want her taken away from them. Can you imagine the kind of foster home “A” would arrange Emily to go to?
I can’t even.

Ella’s World Tour

There wasn’t a whole lot on the Aria love triangle front this week, though we did get a few nice scenes with her and Jake ). I know people are sad about Ezra  getting the shaft — the hashtag #FightingForEzria was trending before this week’s episode — but I think we all just need to relax and enjoy the fact that Aria is happy. She’s with someone nice and cute, and more importantly, she’s with someone she’s legally allowed to be with.
On a slightly crazier note, Aria gave her mom  permission to accompany Zack to Austria. Out of nowhere. I know the liars are worried about “A” hurting their parents, but they do need some parental supervision during this mess!

‘Twisted’ Recap:

Regina is still a very dead girl, and Danny  is still a very suspicious figure in his hometown, but no one knows whodunnit! On the June 25 episode of Twisted, the pieces started coming together for several characters, but nothing was really resolved enough for the viewers to come to any conclusions. But hey, we’re only through with the third episode; there’s so much more drama to be had!

The Necklace Mystery Is Beginning To Come Together, For Some

In the first episode, the red and gold necklace was the only thing missing from the scene of Regina’s death, and although Danny denied killing her, he was found to be in possession of the necklace at the end of the hour.
In the second episode, the necklace came into play again when the Mastersons went to the Desais’ for dinner, and Jo’s mom Tess (Kimberly Quinn) noticed a picture had mysteriously disappeared since their meal began — a picture not only including Danny’s aunt, but the necklace as well!
Sidenote: who thought it was a good idea to have the city police chief go hang out at the house of the suspect he’s trying to find guilty in trial? Oh yeah, Jo (Maddie Hasson) did! Talk about something that comes back to bite you. Way to go, Jo.
Double sidenote: I actually really love Jo and her character — not to mention, her hair. How does she get it to always spring into those perfectly adorable curls, especially when everyone is accusing her friend of being a sociopath?!
Despite her perfect hair and loyalty to Danny, Jo’s dad is still out to find Danny guilty, and he hated every waking minute they had to spend together. Meanwhile, Sheriff Masterson (Sam Robards) looked deeper into the mystery behind the necklace in this episode, and he’s starting to believe he has a strong lead on the case.

Danny Is Working On Redeeming Himself — While Still Hiding Something

After getting into a lunchroom brawl with Lacey’s totally hormonal boyfriend, Archie (Grey Damon), on the second episode, Danny made it clear to Archie that he wants to make amends; too bad Archie denied his offer. He told Danny, “You’re never going to fit in, and you might as well accept that.”
It makes me feel for the poor guy, who really does seem like he wants to start anew and put the past behind him. I suppose it can be a little hard when your past includes a murder you committed, but I do think people need to cut him some slack.
That is, until he starts acting all sketchy! After Sheriff Masterson paid a visit to Danny’s house asking about the missing picture, Danny’s mom Karen (Denise Richards) confronted Danny about whether or not he moved it. I think she’s onto this whole necklace mystery, too!
Danny claimed he didn’t do it, but boy, “I didn’t move it” came out of his mouth so quickly, even a girl like me — who is firmly on Team Danny — finds him hard to trust on this one.

Jo Goes From ‘High-School Nobody’ To ‘Center Of Attention’

After making herself known as Danny’s advocate in the first episode, Jo has definitely been more of a somebody than she used to be at her school — though not necessarily to her benefit. And when she tried to do something for herself by taking on the lead role in a PSA advocating sobriety, it made her even more of a spectacle than she could have ever imagined!
Jo was supposed to film a video about the dangers of binge drinking after the play was done, but Regina’s bitter widow-friend Sarita (Jamila Velasquez) took matters into her own hands and made it into “humiliate Jo” time, playing a video of Jo getting drunk at Regina’s party the night Regina was killed, deeming Jo as a loser.
Although Jo ran out of the auditorium in frantic humiliation, she told her best friend Rico (Ashton Moio) that she’s actually glad Sarita did that to her; now feels like she has nothing to hide. I say, ‘You go, girl!’

A New Potential Murderer Comes Into Play?

In the middle of the episode, there was a moment in Jo and Rico’s chemistry class that seemed pretty random — until the two made a connection to that random moment near the end of the episode. Some girl named Jenny asked to switch lab partners because Scott (Todd Julian) didn’t call her after saying he would. You know, the typical drama girls deal with… but don’t usually announce to their chemistry classes.
Scott was completely caught off guard in class, and tried to defend himself by saying, “We hung out once!”
It all seemed pretty random, until Rico mentioned that Jenny, his new lab partner as a result of the switch, said she and Scott hooked up at Regina’s party, which was a different time than the instance Scott was referring to. This gave Rico and Jo a new idea of someone that might have been involved with Regina’s murder: Did Scott have something to do with it?
See what I mean by a lot of unanswered questions? The preview for the July 2 episode made it sound like a lot of these unresolved mysteries will start coming together, so be sure to tune in to see if any puzzle pieces come together!

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Scoop: Sean Faris Talks Gabriel’s Interest In Hanna

Is there really such a thing as a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ cop on Pretty Little Liars anymore? Sean Faris – who plays Rosewood’s newest authority figure, Officer Gabriel Holbrook — doesn’t think so. In fact, he has “no idea” where his badge lies on that spectrum. “There’s always a possibility there’s more than what he seems,” “I haven’t figured it out yet, but we’ll see.”
Along with giving us more of Officer Holbrook, the June 25 episode will also introduce us to his partner, Detective Linda Tanner (Roma Maffia), whom Sean describes as Gabriel’s “mentor.”
“Gabriel kind of follows her lead,” Sean explains. “She sets the pace and makes sure that Holbrook is keeping pace with her.”
As for which liar they’ll be ‘keeping pace’ with most, Sean hints that Gabriel and Linda will have their hands — but hopefully not handcuffs – full with the Marins.
“The actress I’ve worked with the most is Ashley Benson,” he tells us. “So far, all roads lead to [her] house. So far.”

Does Gabriel Have His Eye On A Liar?

Given Rosewood’s history of cops getting a little too close to its under-age citizens — Wilden, Garrett and the list goes on — everybody wants to know whether Gabriel will follow in his predecessor’s creepy footsteps. Fortunately, it sounds like it’ll be all business with him. For the most part, anyway.
“Gabriel’s a young guy, so I’m sure he finds those little liars rather attractive,” Sean admits. “I really don’t know, but I’m not going to rule out any possibilities.”
Truth be told, Sean’s almost as much in the dark as the rest of us; and that’s just the way he likes it.
“I just go with the flow,” he admits. “I don’t ever ask what’s going on in the future, because my character wouldn’t know that yet either. … I just prepare my work and show up and do what I do.”
