The video for “Best Song Ever” is certainly one of the summer’s best, and now the boys are giving us an inside look at the making of the sexy music video!

As if the boys aren’t goofy enough in the actual music video, the three-minute behind-the-scenes vid shows them dancing and joking around on set.

Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson required quite a bit of makeup and latex prosthetics to become Harvey and Jonny, two old-guy studio execs, in the video. The behind-the-scenes video shows just how much of a transformation they went under — at least six hours, according to Niall!

Zayn Malik had to get his tattoos airbrushed to become Veronica, the sexy office assistant. That’s a lot of airbrushing!

Although Zayn was the only member of the band to play a woman in the video, he said he doesn’t think he drew “the short straw.” After all, the boys had their eyes glued on “Veronica” whenever she made an appearance in the video!

Producer Morgan Spurlock and his production team had access to footage of Taylor, 23, and Harry, 19, but decided not to use any of it in the movie, according to The Mirror.

Morgan confirmed the omission of the relationship, saying, “By the time we started filming in January, they had already split up.”

Morgan claims he excluded Taylor because the romance was old news, but he still used other footage of the One Direction boys from last year. Hmm. Maybe Harry just didn’t want to relive his doomed fling with Taylor on the big screen.

A source close to the band says, “There was no way Taylor would appear. Fans don’t want to see it. He [Harry] is done with talking about her and the management do not want to annoy Taylor any more. This was a no-brainer.”

Instead, the PG flick will show Harry revisiting his childhood hangouts, along with other intimate moments. If you ask us, Harry’s love affair with Taylor sounds much more interesting!

The boys looks more mature and handsome than ever on their individual covers! The band revealed the images on its official Twitter account on July 29, whipping 1D fans into a frenzy.

Each edition features a quote from one of the boys. Liam’s reads, “Groupies? You’re going to get me in trouble.” Niall says, ”All I see is a sea of screaming faces.” Harry, ever the ladies’ man, has a quote to match his reputation: “It’s definitely less than 100…” alongside the Daft Punk lyric “He’s up all night to get lucky.” Cheeky!

Louis’ quote is a response to the band’s famous critics: “Noel Gallagher is not supposed to like our music.” And Zayn Malik says, “They will build statues of us” — which we could totally see happening.

This incident is eerily reminiscent of when King-of-Pop Michael Jackson’s hair caught on fire while filming a Pepsi commercial in front of fans in 1984. Thankfully, this had a better outcome!

The insanely popular boy band is currently on the North American leg of their Take Me Home world tour. The boys previously toured in Europe and will finish off in Australia.

One Direction will release its third studio album later this year, and will embark on another world tour in April 2014.

We’re less than one week away from the July 22 release of One Direction‘s latest single “Best Song Ever,” and the boys of the band are helping ease our anxiety with a sneak peek of their new jam.

To clear up any confusion, the 1D boys – Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne – aren’t necessarily saying this song is the best song ever. It’s merely about the best song ever, like Tenacious D‘s “Tribute.”

Leading up to the song’s official debut, Disney Channel will premiere the music video for “Best Song Ever” during Teen Beach Movie, which airs July 19 at 8 p.m.

Although they are a bunch of guys in a band, they claim they aren’t your typical boy band! “We didn’t want to just follow the boy-band formula. We didn’t want to do any dancing. We just wanted to be five dudes in a band,” said Zayn. “We just kind of came out and said, “We can’t dance. We’re a bit lazy. We’re just normal lads,” added Liam. “We look stupid dancing. That’s what I think.”

It obviously must get very frustrating and scary at times! “I don’t think it’s ever something we’ll get fully used to… We kind of try to stay under the radar and not tweet where we are,” Liam said. The rest of the crew looks adorable, especially Zayn Malik and Niall Horan, and everyone got close and friendly for the shoot. Rosie is the pop of color in the shot, wearing a red dress with ornate details and a bustier top. Harry looks like the leader of the group, rightfully so, at the very top with his arms slung fatherly around Zayn and Louis Tomlinson. Rosie clasps onto Harry’s hand and gently rest her other on Zayn’s right cheek. And we can’t forget about Liam Payne in the bottom right with his dark denim vest looking like a bad boy.

One Direction Release New Song ‘Best Song Ever’

One Direction sure are confident in what they are selling! The cute Brit boys released the trailer for their new film This Is Us on June 25, and fans can hear their new song “Best Song Ever,” and it really is the best song ever!

Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik released the new trailer on their official VEVO page, and it looks like it is gonna be an awesome movie!

At the 2.44 part of this trailer, the boys’ newest single “Best Song Ever” starts to play, and the only lyric that can be heard clearly is: ”and we dance all night to the best song ever…”

So I’m guessing that this is a love song!

Sadly, “Best Song Ever” will not be officially released until July 22, with a physical CD release following on August 19.

The 1D Boys Announce New Song In Video

In a YouTube video message for fans, Niall says: “Hi guys, it’s us again. We’ve got a little secret we’ve been keeping and we want you to know about it.”

“We are releasing a new single. It’s called ‘Best Song Ever’, it’s going to be in our movie and you can pre-order it from midnight, 12pm tonight [June 26],” continues Harry.

Zayn finishes by saying, “We’ve worked really hard on it and we hope you enjoy it; and it’s called ‘Best Song Ever.’”

Liam Payne Upsets One Direction Fans 

Uh oh, Liam Payne just made some One Direction fans a little upset and we have the full story on what went down and how the boybander is clearing the air. On Friday, the 1D guy hit twitter to request that the fans who were calling their hotel rooms incessantly, please stop because QUOTE "ur just pissing everyone off." This ask must have caused quite the stir among the dedicated fandom, because Liam immediately followed that tweet up by asking his followers how they would feel if it was their day off from school and all he did was call nonstop. Now, we're guessing that a lot of 1D fans would basically consider that a dream come true, but nonetheless, we get where Liam was coming from. This whole situation sent Liam fans into a tizzy as they supported their favorite 1D member. In attempt to smooth this situation over, Liam sent out a very long message via twitter to apologize to anyone he angers, explaining that he was just tired and having a bad time because he misses home a bit at the moment. Poor guy. On the flip side, Liam noted that he's loving the shows and he thanked the fans for making his who he is today writing QUOTE "I couldn't thank any of you enough so that it really sorry about the other day, we all have bad days. I love you guys thank you." Major props to Liam for being so thoughtful with his apology -- but doesn't he have a point here?

Things just got really interesting thanks to Harry Styles most recent fashion choice. At One Direction's show in Ohio, the funny 1D member rocked a pretty basic look on stage consisting of a black shirt and black jeans. That was until an excited fan threw something on to the stage. Harry immediately opened the package and put on the contents of the package, which interestingly enough turned out to be a thong made of candy. After putting on the candy-coated underwear, a Zayn couldn't resist, so he reached out and took a bite. And then Harry even ate a few of the candies. Yes, this is highly random and very hilarious, but it has 1D and Harry Styles written all over it -- these guys are all about having fun and being spontaneous. It seems the pressure of being an international pop star is taking a toll on One Direction singer Zayn Malik. The 20-year-old Brit appears to have recently dropped a significant amount of weight from his already-slim frame, and an insider tells Us Weekly it's likely due to the stress of his busy schedule.

"He's lost a lot of weight," the source says. "He started to eat healthy a while ago and working out to get in shape as he had never trained before. He wanted some definition."

(Indeed, Malik recently tweeted about enjoying a nutritious snack. "Think I'm gonna have some weetabix with a banana now," he wrote on June 2.)

"He's always been the slimmest of the band members, naturally," the insider adds, "but I think he's running around a lot, getting stressed, and not putting health first."

"Running around a lot" is an understatement. The British-born teen idol -- along with bandmates Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson -- has been working nonstop on One Direction's 2013 U.S. Take Me Home tour, which kicked off Thursday, June 13, at Fort Lauderdale's BB&T Center.

In the next three months alone, the group is expected to perform more than 35 shows in cities all over the U.S. They're also busy doing video shoots and promotional appearances for their new movie, This Is Us, due later this summer.

And with Harry Styles trending worldwide --- it's clear Directioners are loving the collab. While Taylor Swift’s ex may be eyeing a future as a solo artist, Harry’s bandmate Liam Paynerecently said that he hopes the band can stay together for the long haul.

“I don’t want us to lose the fun we have on stage,” the 19-year-old singer told We Love Pop magazine, adding, “I don’t want us to fall out or have a situation where the band doesn’t want to be together anymore.”
