‘The Last Goodbye’ sounds very different from her party anthem ‘We Can’t Stop.’ Is she trying to tell Liam something?

The new song features some interesting lyrics to say the least: “I know you’re going to want me to come for a last goodbye.”

Is this a throwback to her 2010 movie The Last Song where she met Liam? Or is she saying something more serious toward her relationship with him?

Miley has had an tough few months trying to work things out with Liam and her parents recently filed for divorce June 13. So she could have just recorded this during a tough time.

Miley’s album will be released later this year and we know it’s going to be amazing. With just a few songs and earlier collaborations with Snoop Dogg and will.i.am, she has really shown how far she has come since her Hannah Montana days.
