Drake Pulls Out Of BET Awards Hours Before The Show

The man who was supposed to be the center of attention at the BET Awards tonight, June 30, reportedly won’t even be in attendance anymore!

Drake, who is nominated for 12 BET Awards, has reportedly dropped out of the BET Awards completely and will not be making an appearance on June 30.

The move, which comes just hours before the BET Awards are scheduled to start, has producers scrambling, according to Radar Online.

“Everything is in flux,” a source says. “The producers are all pulling their hair out.”

It’s reportedly not yet clear why Drake has decided to skip the ceremonies, but if he is actually a no-show it’ll definitely be a huge blow. Drake was not scheduled to perform but with all of his nominations, people had been calling this year’s BET Awards the “Drake Awards.”

White House Down is a hoot and a half, a shameless popcorn entertainment that is preposterous and diverting in just about equal measure. This story of “the worst day this country ever had” — a roughly 12-hour period when an armed paramilitary group blows up the Capitol and takes over the White House — is very much something you get a kick out of against your better judgment.

You couldn’t ask for a more fun summer popcorn movie than White House Down. The buddy action-comedy teams the ever-ingratiating Channing Tatum, as a hunky, off-duty DC cop, with Jamie Foxx, slyly amusing as President Sawyer, a very thinly disguised version of our current chief executive. The latest epic from master of disaster Roland Emmerich is his most entertaining since “Independence Day” — amusingly referenced by a White House tour guide in the new film, which is a lot funnier than you’d guess from some of the trailers.

White House Down never quite seems to decide what kind of movie it wants to be, although by firepower alone it qualifies as this summer’s most cartoonishly bombastic exercise in sensory overload (so far). A riotous display of serial explosions, helicopter crashes, car smash-ups, sniper attacks and at least one slap on the face of a winsome little girl, White House Down is the kind of celebration of rampant mayhem in which everyone seems to have a rocket launcher — or at least a live hand grenade — at the ready, just in case they need to dispatch a scrum of exceptionally vile and cruel villains.

Also in the alleged rider, Justin demands that no one take his picture or ask for his autograph. He also appears to love: herbal teas, a deli platter, veggie platter, Swedish Fish, Ritz Bits Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Haribo cola gummies, and Ritz Bitz Cheese Sandwiches.

She has matching white nails and two bold rings on, but no visible clothing. With the face paint extending all the way onto her hair she looks fierce and truly tribal.

In another shot, Kendall shows off her killer figure in a strapless, high-low, yellow dress that pops incredibly against the dark, natural background. She’s barefoot in the woods but she’s got a lot of jewelry on, including a huge choker and a garter that looks like it’s painted on her leg. Her hair is teased super high and even though she’s casually resting on a tree in a princess-like dress, she still looks like a warrior of the woods.

And it is adorable! The video stars Friday Night Lights actress Aimee Teegarden and 90210 hunk Dustin Milligan (remember they kissed in 90210 season one?!) as the young couple who fall in love at the fair and have a passionate romance.

However, their love may be compromised because at one point Dustin is clearly wearing an army uniform, which makes me think he is sent away to war — just like in Greenday‘s video for “Wake Me Up When September Ends.”

Demi’s hardcore fans will love the video, because the pop princess will make an appearance in it! She sings and plays guitar at the carnival where the couple meet.

Demi Lovato and her father, Patrick Lovato, 53, were not on speaking terms when he died suddenly on June 23 — they hadn’t been in nearly half a decade. “But at the end of the day he’s still my dad,” Demi sweetly said on Good Morning America on June 27. In the new interview the 20-year-old singer explained her complicated relationship with her father, how she’s handling his sudden death, and the amazing lengths she’s going to to remember him.

Like her, Patrick was also struggling with mental health and addiction problems, and Demi revealed that she cut off communication with him after he “let her down” over and over again.

An insider spoke with HollywoodLife.com and told us that although Chris faces two criminal charges for leaving the scene of his hit-and-run without exchanging the correct information, and for driving without a valid drivers license, he’s not too worried about it.

“All Chris is looking forward to is this weekend so he can be in his element and perform at BET,” the source says. “That’s the only time the fool feels free, is when he is on stage doing what he does best. That’s all he’s looking forward to.”

We told you that the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office has charged Chris with a misdemeanor criminal hit-and-run. At the time, Chris was driving in his Range Rover with his girlfriend Karrueche Tran, and they allegedly rear-ended a Mercedes. Even though Chris says he gave the woman all of his information, he reportedly gave fake insurance info and also he wasn’t supposed to be driving!

Now he faces up to six months for each count — not good! At least he can perform this weekend
